Jorden Smith
Assistant Women's Soccer Coach

Jorden Smith begins her first season as an assistant coach at Midwestern State heading into the 2022 campaign.

Smith brings a wealth of coaching experience to the program including time as an assistant coach at Sam Houston State after constructing brand new programs as a head coach at Blinn College and as the top assistant at Angelina College.

During her three years on staff at SHSU, the Bearkats reached the Southland Conference postseason tournament in her last two seasons in Huntsville advancing to the opening round of the Western Athletic Conference tournament in 2021.

Prior to her time with the Bearkats, Smith was charged with building brand new men's and women's programs as the first soccer coach at Blinn College. As a first-year program, she led the men to six wins and an NJCAA Region XIV semifinal appearance while also guiding the women to four wins.

Before Blinn, Smith spent two seasons as the head assistant for the Angelina College men's and women's soccer programs, which she helped establish in 2016. The women's team compiled a 15-18 record and reached the NJCAA Region XIV tournament semifinals during her tenure.

Smith also previously served as the assistant coach at Cisco College where the Lady Wranglers amassed a 22-10-4 record, won a regular season championship, and competed in the NJCAA Region V championship in each of her two seasons (2014 and 2015) on staff.

Smith began her collegiate playing career at Cisco College (2009-2011), where she served as team captain and earned all-conference honors both seasons as a center defender. As a two-year starter, she combined for 10 goals and 12 assists in 37 games and claimed All-America honors her sophomore year. The Lady Wranglers competed in the NJCAA Region V championship game both years that Smith played.

Smith transferred to Lubbock Christian, where she was a two-year starter and captain as a center midfielder. She earned her bachelor's degree in exercise science from LCU in May 2013.

As a high school soccer player, Smith lettered all four years at McNeil High School in Round Rock. She also was a member of the Austin Lonestar Soccer Club.
